Rusev and Swagger Continue The War
Lana comes out and talks about how superior Russia is to the United States. She bashes Obama and praises Putin. Out comes Zeb Colter and talks about the American flag. He talks about what the flag represents. He talks about the tradition and how it represents beer, women, trucks, freedom and America. The crowd chants USA and Colter says the flag represents the thousands of brave American men and women who preserved our freedom. The crowd chants “We, The People.” Swagger unloads on Rusev and both men crash into one another. Rusev tosses Swagger around like a rag doll and both men get into the ring. Swagger kicks him in the face and throws him to the outside. USA stands tall tonight and this excellent storytelling continues. Somehow, it is only getting better and better. Will we see a Flag match or possibly a Submission match at SummerSlam? I am for the latter. Well done, again.
Adam Rose defeated Damien Sandow
Nothing to note here besides a quick win and Sandow dressed as an astronaut. Yeah, this was pretty unbearable to watch.
The Vicious Viper is Back
For months, we have seen a very vanilla Randy Orton. Whether he was overshadowed by the return of Batista or Triple H’s reign as leader, Randy Orton was a guy that deserved much better. Everyone is sick of his gimmick, right? WWE needed Randy Orton at his best against Roman Reigns. Reigns needs the best to compete with. Randy Orton tapped into his aggressive and dominant side tonight, reminding me why everyone used to love him. He viciously attacked Roman Reigns and laid him out with multiple spots. He hit a hanging DDT and TWO RKO’S on the table. I loved it, simply loved this segment for him. He needed something great to happen between him and Reigns to really make me intrigued by it. This was the PERFECT start. They need to expose weaknesses of Roman Reigns and this was what they needed to do to evolve a newer and edgier Randy Orton.
Fandango’s Women Troubles Continue
He loses a match against one of the Los Matadores. Yeah, once again, a weak segment for WWE on am much rather complete show. Can we get a guy that sticks with the women so Fandango can actually feud with someone?
