Bad News Barrett Wins the WWE Intercontinental Championship

WWE Extreme Rules Highlights of the match:

I cannot get enough of the Bad News gimmick. You can see how much he actually enjoys himself. He has found his niche and has found his personality. I really dig him on the microphone, as it comes natural and not forced.

The match started with Bad News hitting a running elbow from the apron onto the floor. Barrett's big boot sends Big E to the outside, which looked incredible. Big E hits a belly to belly suplex, one that looks just as good as Kurt Angle's. Big E hits a spear to the outside, but Barrett hits a Winds of Change. This match felt like a heavyweight fight, big move after big move. Bad News Barrett wins the title with a Bullhammer.

Reaction:

This was a very good match, one that has much importance to it. Bad News Barrett will bring importance back to a championship that needs it. I loved the pace of this match, one that really focused on the strengths of both men. Barrett gets the win and I really do think he bucks the trend of recent IC Champions.

What does Big E do now? Does he get wasted? The guy is still talented, but he became bland when they gave him the championship. It is a little his fault and a little more of the creative writers.

He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
