James Storm def. Kurt Angle
What I Liked:
It was all about if Aces and Eights would attack. Roode, Sting, and Bully are at ringside. The action inside the ring was awesome. I absolutely love seeing Angle compete every single night, with such crisp and consistent offense. He knows how to sell and not oversell a move. Storm needed the victory in my eyes because many feel he is not on the level of Kurt Angle. It seems like Kurt can lose and lose but people still know how good he is. Storm adds a hanging DDT onto Angle, really forwarding the match in a faster and more physical pace. The match consisted of many near falls, including a close two count after Angle hit his Slam on Storm. The match was excellent and they ended it with Storm hitting a Last Call out of nowhere. The end worked perfectly because all of the guys focused on the attacks. It was Ray who started things with Storm, and all hell breaks loose. You need to continue to have Aces and Eights remain fresh, so I felt it was smart to see the guys in the ring fall apart from their "pact." It was a nice touch to the mentality of all of the men. Well done to keep the fans guessing when we will see the gang group once again.
