The Cashbox: Learning Dean Ambrose

The worked shoot between FCW talent, Dean Ambrose, and Mick Foley continues to pick up steam online as the two go back and forth with tweets, videos, and blogs. In Mick Foley's latest blog, he amps up the "shoot" part of this whole scenario and claims he will NOT work with Dean Ambrose. He says that a few weeks ago, putting Ambrose on the WWE map seemed like an interesting challenge. But now, "it seems like an insult".

Personally, I'm looking forward to the match!

I'll admit that I don't follow the independents near as much as I should, but it's a simple case of time deprivation. I have the slightest idea who Dean Ambrose is or what he's done. Jon Moxley, even slighter. I'd like to find out though.

If you are in the same boat as me, let's take a look together and see what we can find out about the guy Mick Foley will certainly "put on the WWE map" soon enough. Also, if you have further insight and history regarding Ambrose/Moxley and his pro wrestling career, please post them in the "Comments" section below.

BACKGROUND

It looks like "Jon Moxley" got his start training under Les Thatcher in 2004 and working for Thatcher's Heartland Wrestling Association. I respect Thatcher, used to co-host a radio show with him even, and have heard nothing but good things about his training style and technique. Moxley held a world title in HWA, Insanity Pro Wrestling, and Combat Zone Wrestling. I'm sure there are plenty of other title wins under Moxley's belt, but those are the one I found.

In May of last year, "Dean Ambrose" joined Florida Championship Wrestling.
