One Verbal Step Up
Once he got past the Eve nonsense, John Cena delivered this past week on Raw. His promo was MUCH better than the typical, run of the mill fluff he usually gives us.
It felt real. Because it was.
The Rock is better on the mic than Cena. However, the margin isn't nearly as big as some might believe. Cena can more than just hang with the Rock. There are nights Cena could even win the verbal battle between the two of them. But he has to be allowed to by Vince.
McMahon has to give Cena the same freedom he's allowed Rock since his return. Rock will win everytime if he's the only one doing non-PG things in a PG world. He can't be the only one able to say "Bitch".
It seems WWE might be understanding of that fact. Cena was edgier Monday, all the while staying true to his character. If he can continue to find that balance moving foward, he could potentially win a few new/old fans over between now and WrestleMania.
Here's to Raw and hoping Rock's appearance doesn't derail the progress Cena seemed to make last week.
