Dolph Ziggler
One Unnecessary Step Down
I like John Morrison as a wrestler. I genuinely respect his ability and work ethic. From everything I hear, he's a little soft when it comes to women and gets used as much as he's been used in a WWE ring as of late, but hey, we all do from time to time. Love's a bitch sometimes.
That being said, WWE has given no indication that they plan on pushing him anytime soon, if ever. He's being taken off of numerous future events and house shows, which seems to just further the idea that he won't be around much longer. So, why is he beating someone WWE "is" planning to keep around in Dolph Ziggler.
The fact that Ziggler might actually be employed by WWE longer isn't the only reason he should have gotten the win on Monday; he's actually getting a legitimate push right now. He looks, talks and acts the part of "future star" and needs consistency more than anything right now. Losing to John Morrison for no apparent reason certainly does not accomplish that.
I'm sure Dolph will get the win back in a repeat match on Raw this week, but that doesn't justify the loss. Morrison has been losing to "everyone" else in recent months. Fans remember that. Losing to Morrison these days is nearly the equivalent of losing to Santino. Even Swagger didn't have to suffer that fate.
