Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes in a Street Fight
What I Liked:
This was one of the best matches I have seen this year. Cody and Randy put on a classic street fight, one that was so brutal and did not even need blood. There were fantastic spots throughout the match, including Rhodes' dropkicks and Ortons aggression on the ramp. I really enjoyed the look, the intensity, and the physicality between these two guys. You would think they have been feuding for years, but this really is a new and fresh feud for Orton. The time of the match, which was over 20 minutes long, gave Smackdown a great start and was different than usual shows. From beginning to end, this was a great battle. Lastly, Orton and Rhodes should have another match or two, but will probably be in a Survivor Series type match.
What I Disliked:
Orton winning. Give it to Rhodes for once.
Grade: A+
Ted DiBiase vs. Tyson Kidd:
What I Liked:
Seeing two talented guys featured on Smackdown instead of a Jinder Mahal Match. They only gave them a little over two minutes, but it shows that they may use DiBiase and are not giving up on his talents.
What I Disliked:
Only two minutes of a match does not show you much. DiBiase and Kidd deserve 5 or 6 minutes, deserve the ability to showcase their talents. Also, there is no background or storyline for these guys, and I wish there was more for the future to be seen, rather than a random 1 on 1 match.
