Opening Segment/ What Happened:
Sting opens the show talking about his recent feud with Hulk Hogan. He goes on to say he wanted to get the real Hogan back, as well as give the company back to Dixie Carter. Hogan comes out, apologizes, and says he was a follower and not a leader with Bischoff. Dixie Carter makes her way to the ring, and Sting thanks her for the opportunity. He says this is her second chance, and Carter says she will not make that mistake again. Dixie gives control of the company to Sting, as she is fitted for in the offices and not the ring. Kurt Angle comes out and complains. He says that Roode is not the champion, and he made Roode look like a loser. Roode comes out upset at how the main event ended. With a contract stipulation, Roode cannot face Angle. James Storm comes out and says he can face Angle tonight. Sting books the match. After this segment, Bischoff meets Hogan backstage and tells him Immortal wants to thank him tonight in the ring.
What I Liked:
It was nice to see all of these stories basically be ended tonight, with new ones brewing. They gave Dixie her quick spotlight, and added in the World Title with Sting and Hogan. Mixing in different feuds gives the prestige of the title and control of the company.
What I Disliked:
A half hour of television time wasted. This could have been done throughout the night, or even shortened easily by a good ten minutes and still get their point out. Dragging a segment like this completely takes the excitement out of the crowd, and sets the actual wrestling up poorly. No matches were made, and nothing was accomplished for the show tonight.
