WrestleZone’s Top Ten: WWE Vengeance Matches

Number 5: The Rock vs. Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker for the Undisputed WWE Championship: Detroit, Michigan, 2002

Entangled by feuds, The Undertaker would become Undisputed WWE Champion. The Rock would hit a Rock Bottom on Taker that night, setting up their feud. Vince would book Undertaker and Rock for Vengeance, but add in Angle when he was pinned, but also when Undertaker tapped out. Controversy struck when this happened, so it was only logical to add Angle in the title match. In just under 20 minutes, we got to see three of the best in the history of this business. Rock, the persona of entertainment, with Angle, the best technical wrestler, and the champion Undertaker with his extreme size and power advantage, we added size, speed, energy, and a title change. The Rock would capture the championship in Detroit. He would soon face a new opponent, who was Brock Lesnar.
