October 1, 2005 Show:
The Wrestling Crossfire returns this week after more than a two week absence with an amazing show for you: the fans! Doug brings you interviews, reviews, rants, shoots, music, comedy, and a special contest for you all in a definite “can’t miss” show.
Doug started off by explaining his long absence due to writing, webmaster duties, NWA-VA show, and more. He then takes a long trip through the TWC Mailroom with a variety of questions touching down on columns, wrestling magazines, the recent NWA title change, co-hosts, Mike Nagel, wrestling feuds, Masters/Carlito/Kennedy, Liger/TNA, and much, much more! This was definitely one of the most diverse and in-depth trips to the TWC Mailroom that fans have ever heard as Doug pulls no punches on any of the subjects. After that exhausting trip, Doug took a song request from the fans to continue the interaction. To requests songs and leave questions for the TWC Mailroom, please click here.
Next, Doug had the maker of the brand spankin’ new video game, Pro Wrestling X, Dave Wishnowski. Dave and Doug talked about the Pro Wrestling X video game project, its problems, its future, the state of wrestling video games, Wrestling Gamers United, the state of wrestling period, the Bret Hart saga, and tons more. Dave really opens in this interview in a incredibly in-depth manner on all of Doug’s questions and he holds nothing back when talking about even touchy subjects like video game publishers and the cash this is costing him. Columnist Of The Show followed next as Doug talked about an upstart rookie columnist who is up for Column of the Month at TheWrestlingVoice.com. Then, the controversial Shoot Stop made its return as Doug went into a full on rant on the situation with the WWE legal situation involving ECW trademarked gimmicks. Doug got very heated in this edition of the Shoot Stop and definitely had few pleasant things to say about the situation. Doug then gave his quick reviews on some major shows by NWA-VA, WWE Unforgiven, and TNA Unbreakable. It will definitely shock you as to which of the four Doug marked the best in the month of September!
Former TNA X Division Champion Petey Williams then joined Doug for an exclusive shoot interview. The two talked about many controversial issues including TNA’s failures, his matches with Chris Sabin, Jeff Jarrett’s title win at Border City Wrestling, Williams career with Scott D’Amore, wrestling pyschology in TNA, the WWE product, Rey Mysterio’s comments on TNA, and IWA-MS closing its doors at the end of the year. It was an eye-opening look into one of the hottest young stars in the buisness today and definitely one wrestling fans can’t miss. Doug then ended the show by talking about recent happenings on TheWrestlingVoice.com and upcoming news for The Wrestling Crossfire. Finally, Doug revealed a contest for one lucky fan to win a limited edition WWF Forceable Entry CD from 2002!
The Wrestling Crossfire may have been missing for two weeks, but by this show, you would never guess it.
