Wrestlezone.com has always been known as one of the top main page sites for columnists on the net. Now, we want YOU to be out next main pager. Starting Friday, May 26th, WZ will be accepting applications for new main page writers.
Here are the details:
-Starting May 26th, a link will be posted on wzforums.com in the “Columns Lounge” and on Wrestlezone.com on the main page to an official application. ANYONE may fill it out and it will be sent to yours truly, Joe Pritchett. The application will include a small number of questions. You will also need to send in a minimum of one, or a maximum of three previous columns that you have written.
-From then on you will be under a one month “trial period”. You will be required to post TWO new columns within one month in the Columns Lounge at wzforums.com after submitting your application.
-A panel of five main page columnists including:
-Joe Pritchett of “Joe Pritchett’s Real Talk”
-Douglas Nunnally of “Column O’ Nonsense”
-Euan Conway of “Off the Record”
-Alex Wipper of “The Fan’s Perspective”
-Tim Wronka of “From the Eye of the Dragon”
will judge your efforts during the month long trial period. Exactly one month after you submit your application, these five main page panelists will vote on if you are worth to join them as a WZ main page columnist!
Panelist’s considerations will break down as follows:
-70%: Quality of Columns
-20%: Interaction with mainpagers/other applicants on the WZ Forums Columns Lounge.
-10%: Improvement over time in column quality. (From initially submitted work to work submitted over the one month period.)
The window to apply for a main page spot will be open from May 26th to June 26th!
