Monday: The flagship- RAW 2 hours
Friday: Merge ECW w/ Smackdown and make it a 1 hour show.
By having three total hours of programming each week, you will keep your product fresh and be able to rotate your characters each week to also keep them fresh.
Third, are the Title belts.
This is where your Hollywood writers are very ineffective. There’s too much male soap opera and stories going on that now the titles have become secondary. The titles were meant so much and it identified who the very best is. There should be more emphasis on titles and having longer title reigns than just up to seven to eight weeks whereas twenty years ago it was at least seven to eight months.
Also, and I’m probably nitpicking, but how about having a title change hands at a house show thus killing two birds with one stone?! It would make a house show “can’t miss” and in the meantime create excitement surrounding the titles once again.
And, there are too many titles. I’d unify the World titles. It reminds me of the IBF, WBA, and WBC titles in boxing. There are too many. Everyone knew who the champions were in 1987 by heart. That’s not the case today. There are NINE championships today.
My suggestion is cutting it down from nine to four—The Undisputed World champion, Tag team champions, Intercontinental champion, and the Women’s championship. That way, the titles mean something again and not some dead weight the wrestlers are carrying throughout the airports.
I challenge you, Mr. McMahon to make bold decisions that will make the WWE the powerful entity that made people change the dial of Monday Night Football to Monday Night Raw. You have the power to reprogram your current viewers and to bring back the ones you lost over the years.
Just think about it, Vince. If you need more suggestions, you got my e-mail.
