Moved Down – United States Title / Midcard Title Value
The Hart Family / Jericho & Miz angle is entertaining, but I don’t think anyone outside of Canada thought Bret would actually win the title. Bret’s win doesn’t serve any purpose other than for a storyline, and he isn’t an active wrestler. It isn’t David Arquette bad, but using a title as a prop in a feud doesn’t do any favors. Sheamus could have been alot further along in getting over if he had a Mania title match with HHH, and if he had a longer reign. Apparently the writers thought it was more important to have the belt in the Cena/Batista match, which didn’t need it. Hopefully the US title gets a meaningful push, whether it be earned back by The Miz or put into a tournament. The IC picture with McIntyre/Kingston/ Hardy on Smackdown is one of the best parts of that show and hopefully the US title recieves the same kind of treatment.
