RAW started with NXT in the ring saying why they attacked everyone (a motive), and what they wanted. (Ok, an explanation, check.) Barrett then says Daniel Bryan is noticeably absent from the group because he felt remorse for the beatdown last week and they kicked him out of the group, and we will never see him again. Hmm, he didn’t look like he had any remorse when he spit on Cena and screamed “you aren’t better than me” at him. All of the internet fans know what happened, but this was one of the dumbest explanations I ever heard. Like it made the Undertaker being in a “vegetative state” sound reasonable. Bryan got fired, work or shoot, but he’s gone. it’s not like he was hated backstage or did something off camera, everyone who watched saw him in the act last week. Bryan was responsible for the two most memorable parts of last week’s show, and those images have people talking. Fans in some wrestling forums even have Bryan choking Roberts as an image in their signature at the bottom of every post.
Wouldn’t it make more sense to say Bryan got fired and that plus their unfavorable treatment was why they were after WWE management? Or something better than “the guy who showed no remorse showed remorse?” They didn’t do that, but they got the issue addressed and moved on. Bret fired Wade and then later in the show the RAW Roster ran the rookies out of the building. Then the end of the show saw the rookies return, cause chaos in the back and they went after Bret Hart. They put him in a limo and smashed it into other cars. When they pulled him out they said they want answers by Sunday and left him laying.
I liked it, it hasn’t been seen in a while, and using Bret to get them heat was a good call. They almost made the guys look weak when they ran away but this was a good way to bring them back up a notch. It almost makes me want to watch the pay-per-view on Sunday, but that and an incomplete card with two four ways and two thrown together matches might make me wait until next month. I don’t know what will happen at Fatal 4 Way, but I don’t think we have seen the last of the attacks on superstars or other WWE employees.
