The RAW Ladder

Last week’s RAW was pretty bad, minus the last segment where NXT beat up John Cena and all of the ring crew. It had everything it needed to go over well and be brutal. We saw punches, kicks, choking and destruction of property; it was everything needed to get a guy fired. Yes, if you haven’t heard by now, Daniel Bryan was fired for breaking the “Benoit rule” by choking ring announcer Justin Roberts with his tie. No one is really sure if it is a work or a shoot, or who wanted him fired, but he is off WWE TV for awhile.
The guy is too talented to not bring back, and if this is legit, he was probably fired because the company wanted to show everyone that no one is exempt from the rules. I sort of believe John Cena for wanting Bryan back, but “Michael Cole” also opened a Twitter account this weekend and went on an “I got Daniel Bryan fired” campaign. Someone in Linda McMahon’s campaign party didn’t have him fired either, and the best one I have heard so far is that is was Triple H, because his kids saw it and they were scared and cried. Ok, as far as I know, his kids are 3 and 1 years old, and I’m betting don’t watch the show.
I know they try to keep the show PG but sometimes it straddles that line. The point is someone thought what he did was over the line and he was fired for his actions. Whether it is a legitimate firing or if they did it on a technicality to bring him back in a few weeks, he is still missing off of TV. I’m not going to speculate anymore because we will find out what his status is eventually so I’ll just watch the angle as it is (and hope the writers don’t blow it.)
