Moving Up – NXT “Nexus”
The whole concept was to have one guy win the show, which they did, but I like the way everyone is staying on TV. Wade Barrett is a good leader and a great choice to win the first season. All of the guys were good on the mic this week, and I especially enjoyed Michael Tarver’s apology to his kids. He should have been used better on NXT, but I guess with Barrett and Daniel Bryan in front of him he had to take a bit of a backseat. The attacks are being anticipated every week, but everyone still ends up being surprised and this group is a hot topic in the WWE Universe.
A special note goes out to Justin Gabriel, who if you missed it, hit yet another picture perfect 450 splash, this time on Vince McMahon himself. Props to Vince for taking the splash, but big props to Gabriel for pulling it off again. I don’t know if he pauses on the top turnbuckle because he is nervous or for dramatic effect, but hitting your boss with that has to be both scary and fun. I’m happy to see he has perfected the move because it is good to see a little high risk action on RAW.
