It’s almost time for AEW Dynamite!
The June 19, 2024, episode of Dynamite goes down at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, VA. AEW has already advertised a loaded card for this week’s show. The Elite, MJF, Toni Storm, and others will work Dynamite this week.
Here’s what’s on tap for Wednesday Night Dynamite.
MJF’s in-ring return on AEW Dynamite
MJF last wrestled on Dynamite in December 2023. He dropped the ROH World Tag Team Championship to Matt Taven and Mike Bennett that night in Orlando. Tonight, the former AEW World Champion makes his in-ring return.
MJF takes on RUSH this Wednesday on Dynamite. The feud kicked off weeks ago after RUSH confronted Max following his Double or Nothing return. Who will come out as the winner? It remains to be seen.
Toni Storm & Mina Shirakawa make their Forbidden Door match official
Mina Shirakawa showed up on AEW Dynamite two months ago to save Mariah May from Anna Jay. The former Stardom Champion would make her AEW in-ring debut against Serena Deeb on 6/7 Rampage with a win.
Tonight, Mina joins Toni Storm in the ring to make their Forbidden Door match official. Storm had previously successfully defended her AEW Women’s Championship against Deeb at Double or Nothing.
Owen Hart Men & Women’s Tournament Quarterfinals begin on AEW Dynamite
The Owen Hart Men and Women’s Tournament kicks off on AEW Dynamite this week. Claudio Castagnoli faces PAC in the first match of the men’s bracket. Kris Statlander takes on Nyla Rose in the women’s bracket. The finals will take place on the July 10, 2024, episode of Dynamite.
Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. TBA – AEW Continental Championship Eliminator
Kazuchika Okada has been the Continental Champion since 3/20 AEW Dynamite. The Rainmaker has had successful title defenses against the likes of PAC and Dax Harwood. Tonight, he takes on an unannounced competitor in an eliminator.
Young Bucks (c) vs. The Acclaimed – AEW World Tag Team Championship Eliminator
The Young Bucks drew the ire of The Acclaimed after the EVPs canceled the trio’s segment on live television. The Acclaimed retaliated by hitting Elite’s stooge Brandon Cutler with a Scissor Me Timbers on Collision this past Saturday.
Tonight, Max Caster and Anthony Bowers face The Bucks with an opportunity for the AEW World Tag Team Championship on the line. Can The Acclaimed win this one, or will The Elite pull off another dirty trick?
All-star eight-man tag team match on AEW Dynamite
Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, Mark Briscoe, and Dante Martin versus Kyle Fletcher, Roderick Strong, Zack Sabre Jr., and Konsuke Takeshita is set for this week’s Dynamite. This star-studded match-up comes just a week after Fletcher, Takeshita, and Strong defeated Briscoe, Cassidy, and O’Reilly in a six-man tag team match.
Swerve Strickland & Will Ospreay come face-to-face
Will Ospreay snatched the word title belt from Swerve Strickland’s shoulders last week on AEW Dynamite. The champion told the challenger he would’ve put anyone else in the grave if they’d put their hands on him. Both men come face-to-face just days before their highly-anticipated world title match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Wrestlezone will have full coverage of Dynamite as it airs.
