It’s almost time for WWE RAW.
Tonight’s edition of the red brand goes down at the EnMarket Arena in Savannah, GA. WWE has only confirmed one match for the show at the time of the writing so this article will contain a little bit of predictions.
So, without further ado, let’s jump right into it.
Braun Strowman vs. JD McDonagh
Braun Strowman made his roaring return at the WWE Draft episode of RAW on April 29, 2024. The Monster of all Monsters soon found himself on the opposing side of The Judgment Day. Strowman would help Awesome Truth retain their world tag team titles against Finn Balor and JD McDonagh last week on RAW.
Tonight, the former Universal Champion looks to dismantle the Irish Ace himself. Can McDonagh survive the big man in Strowman’s first singles match on WWE RAW in almost a year, or will he get these hands? We will find out on RAW.
A rematch for the Women’s World Title on WWE RAW (maybe)
Liv Morgan shocked the world by beating Becky Lynch at WWE King and Queen of the Ring. Liv got a little (inadvertent) help from Dominik Mysterio during her match against Big Time Becks. A helpless Dom watched as the woman who injured his Mami became the new world champion.
Becky said she’d get her rematch on WWE RAW after King and Queen of the Ring. However, Liv might not give the former champion her rematch, causing a confrontation between the pair.
Expect this match to go down tonight, or at the upcoming Clash at Castle Premium Live Event.
Drew McIntyre & Damian Priest segment (likely)
Damian Priest told Drew McIntyre he’d get his world title shot after getting cleared by the doctors. Triple H informed at WWE King and Queen of the Ring McIntyre had been medically cleared to compete. The WWE COO then announced a world title match between Priest and McIntyre for Clash at the Castle PLE.
The champion and the challenger would likely come face-to-face tonight on WWE RAW. McIntyre hasn’t been involved in a world title match since WrestleMania 40. He would’ve been the one to challenge Priest at Backlash France if it wasn’t for CM Punk. The Voice of the Voiceless isn’t advertised for the show tonight on WWE’s official website.
Will he show up unannounced?
Also, expect King Gunther to interact with both McIntyre and Priest somewhere during the show. The 2024 King of the Ring tournament winner will challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2024.
Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser could be set up on WWE RAW for next week
Gunther defeated Sheamus in their banger of a match in the lead-up to WWE King and Queen of the Ring. The Celtic Warrior was mocked by Ludwig Kaiser behind his back on the previous episode of WWE RAW.
WWE hasn’t advertised Sheamus for RAW this week. That said, the Celtic Warrior could make his presence known by answering Kaiser’s challenge. The possible segment could set up a match between the two next week on RAW.
Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair cameo?
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair retained their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WWE King and Queen of the Ring. The pair defeated Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae on the pre-show. Jade proceeded to call out their next challengers in a post-match promo posted on social media.
For those unaware, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark are next in line to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. The champions could show up on RAW unannounced to officially kick off their feud with the challengers.
The fallout from Bron Breakker’s assault on RAW last week
Bron Breakker went completely berserk on WWE RAW last week. The former two-time NXT Champion destroyed his competition in a matter of seconds. Breakker then completely dismantled his opponent in a post-match assault.
His reason: not given the opportunity to compete in the King of the Ring tournament. Breakker didn’t stop in his tracks as he took out Ricochet with a spear that was meant for Ilja Dragunov.
Will we get Breakker vs. Ricochet tonight?
