The Fiend shocked the world in the main event of WWE Crown Jewel as he defeated Seth Rollins in an outstanding Falls Count Anywhere match to become the Universal Champion. It’s surreal that Bray Wyatt is World Champion again, but one can’t help but feel as though they could have done things a bit differently.
There are usually never any title changes at the Saudi Arabia shows, which made it surprising that the Universal title of all championships was the one to change hands. Then again, WWE had backed themselves into a corner due to their Hell in a Cell finish. They simply couldn’t afford to have a dusty and controversial finish again and they certainly couldn’t afford to have The Fiend lose.
Logically, one would have imagined that they could have just had the title change at Hell in a Cell and have Bray Wyatt retain at Crown Jewel, but it was perhaps one of those things that weren’t thought through all too well.
Either way, we’re not complaining that Wyatt is champion. It’s a great thing and he has some great potential feuds ahead.
