Apart from Rey Mysterio winning the United States Championship in less than two minutes, there wasn’t really anything about the PPV that was shocking, as good as it was. However, the end changed all of that when Lesnar came out and inserted himself into the MITB ladder match.
Fans need to understand that sometimes, WWE simply loves swerve us. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a long-term decision but if it’s gotten people to talk about it’s considered a success. WWE likely wanted to shake things up big time with competition looming and this was one way to do it.
