After The Hardy Boyz unfortunately, vacated the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, the question was as to who was going to step up to take the throne. With The Usos gone and The Bar separated, the tag team division has undoubtedly weakened quite a bit. This is similar to what happened to RAW last year, but perhaps to a lesser extent.
Either way, it was the unexpected team of Daniel Bryan and Rowan who stepped up to the plate. Bryan, after taking time off to heal from a minor injury, is now back in the fray and wasted no time in winning another championship, becoming tag team champion for the first time in six years.
It wasn’t handed to them like expected, however. They had to go through former champions The Usos, who came from RAW due to the Wildcard rule. It was an interesting match because The Usos were the main guard for the blue brand for nearly three years. Either way, Bryan and Rowan overcame the multi-time champions and now sit on top of the tag team throne. Here are a few possible opponents from both RAW and SmackDown who the new tag team champions could face.
