#5.) Roderick Strong is undisputed
This was by far the biggest swerve in all of the Takeover WrestleMania weekend shows. Roderick Strong had united with Pete Dunne as a part of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. While they weren’t exactly buddies, they did prove to be a cohesive unit. After the Undisputed Era ruined the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, William Regal announced that Strong & Dunne would take on AoP and The Undisputed Era, with the winner walking out as NXT Tag Team Champions and as the winners of the Dusty classic.
While Dunne and Strong were on the verge of victory, Strong, who was one of NXT’s top babyfaces, turned on Dunne and attacked him, costing him the match and joining the Undisputed Era, much to Adam Cole‘s shock. He would then be a rare instance of someone holding the tag titles without having actually won them, as the Undisputed Era used the Freebird rule.
