To see the best ladder match in WrestleMania history, we go all the way back to the very first one. It all started off when Shawn Michaels was stripped of the Intercontinental Championship in 1993. Razor Ramon stepped up to the plate and won the vacant title, a change which Shawn Michaels refused to acknowledge.
Ultimately, the story was very simple. The first-ever ladder match in WWE history was to prove who the true Intercontinental Champion was. They stole the show in what remains an all-time classic. Ramon proved to be the true champion that night. Michaels would get his revenge over a year later, defeating Ramon in a ladder match.
