Batista and Triple H’s rivalry in 2005 was the stuff of legends. It was the perfect conclusion of the incredible Evolution storyline that lasted over two years. It saw Batista branch off as a main eventer of his own and after succeeding in putting Triple H away in consecutive matches, Batista moved to SmackDown, where he would continue his rise as World Champion.
All the way until 2010, he was a bonafide main event star and achieved a Hall of Fame career, winning multiple World Championships. While they briefly reunited as a part of Evolution in 2014, the main objective of that was to put over The Shield.
With the feud against Triple H, they can officially close the chapter on that story, in a more satisfying way.
