#2.) The heel turn
At Payback 2017, The Hardy Boyz defeated The Bar to retain the RAW Tag Team Championships. After the match, Sheamus & Cesaro shook hands with the legends in a show of respect. Immediately after that, however, they would launch an assault on The Hardy Boyz, officially turning heel.
This was a turning point, as Cesaro hadn’t been a heel in years. It also added a new dimension to their characters, as Cesaro went from being “The Swiss Superman”, to “The Swiss Cyborg”. They became a close unit and dressed alike and even acted alike. They would face The Hardy Boyz in a steel cage match at Extreme Rules, once again capturing the RAW Tag titles.
