The word “main roster” is a bit loosely used over here. As per the definition on this article, we’re going to make it clear that main roster refers to just RAW and SmackDown Live. It’s understandably a bit unfair to 205 Live because they have had a RAW crossover before, but over the last year or so, it’s become clear that 205 Live is in a world of its own.
That works fine because it allows the characters to develop and it’s led to some genuinely entertaining and consistent television. The main issue the brand has suffered from has been the lack of eyes on the product, and mostly the relatively softer reactions from the audience. There’s a multitude of circumstances for context, but that’s best explained for another time.
Cedric Alexander has become the leader of the pack on 205 Live and 2018 was arguably the greatest year of his career. He went undefeated for 10 months during the year and was the Cruiserweight Champion for 181 days. Just like his good friend Mustafa Ali, Alexander has the “it” factor about him that makes him stand out.
It’s only a matter of time before WWE decides to utilize him on one of their two brands, and when that does happen, these are five dream opponents for him.
