We got a tease of Zack Sabre Jr. in the WWE during the Cruiserweight Classic, where he went all the way to the semi finals before losing to Gran Metalik. It was almost like a litmus test for him which he passed with flying colors. But make no mistake about it, Sabre could always join WWE when he’s willing to, but it’s more that he chooses not to.
For one, wrestling in Japan has been his childhood dream and since 2011, he’s been living it, both through Pro Wrestling NOAH and then New Japan Pro Wrestling. He’s seen a lot of success there as well, even moving up to the heavyweight division and nearly capturing the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.
However, Sabre has a lot of upside, in that he’s in his early 30s and has a long way to go. Until then, he’s going to keep improving as a competitor and when he does eventually come to WWE, he’ll be one of the top names in the business. Here are five dream opponents in WWE for the Technical Wizard.
