At 6’5 and 254 lb, Drew McIntyre has one of the best looks in pro-wrestling today. Not only does he look the part, but he is the part. A fantastic promo and a solid in-ring worker, McIntyre has “future world champion” written all over him. Many believe that it’s bound to happen someday, and this will be the fulfilling of a prophecy made a long time ago.
Vince McMahon introduced McIntyre as a “Future World Champion” and subsequently dubbed him “The Chosen One”. However, things didn’t work out as management or even McIntyre hoped and he was released by the company in 2014 after years of doing practically nothing.
He would make his return to the company a few years later but as a very different performer. This time around, he was more mature, calm, collected, determined, and most importantly – hungry. His career journey has been an interesting one and the man goes by the philosophy of “Don’t Play a Wrestler, Be a Wrestler”.
