Rhea Ripley survives the Elimination Chamber. Blake Monroe seeks vengeance on Jaida Parker. Dreya Mitchell chats with WrestleZone and more.
Rhea Ripley Conquers The Elimination Chamber
With Liv Morgan circling WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer as her WrestleMania 42 opponent, the grand stage opponent for Women’s Champion Jade Cargill was determined inside the Elimination Chamber.
Amongst this year’s Women’s Elimination Chamber field were Asuka, Rhea Ripley, and Raquel Rodriguez of the Raw brand, with the likes of Kiana James, Alexa Bliss, and Tiffany Stratton representing SmackDown. In a moment of surprise, James rolled up Bliss for the match’s first elimination after Asuka blinded the former “Goddess” with colorful mist. Bursting out of her pod, Rodriguez then wiped out everyone before stacking up Asuka and James for a double pinfall elimination.
Rodriguez’s own elimination came moments after when Stratton nailed her with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, leaving Stratton and Ripley as the last two standing. Stratton appeared poised to win as she delivered a Swanton Bomb on “Mami.” Ever resilient, though, Ripley kicked out and sent Stratton headfirst into a chamber pod. From there, Ripley firmly secured the victory and the WrestleMania opportunity against Cargill with a Riptide.
Elsewhere at Elimination Chamber, AJ Lee overcame hijinks to dethrone Becky Lynch as WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion. On the fallout episode of WWE Raw, Lee then declared that she’d be a fighting champion, with any woman welcome to step up and challenge her. As it turns out, six women – Lyra Valkyria, IYO SKY, Bayley, Ivy Nile, Asuka, and Raquel Rodriguez, accepted her invitation and will now battle in a gauntlet match to determine the number one contender next week.
Amira Blair Promises A ‘True Wrestling Performance’ At EVE’s Wrestle Queendom 8
This weekend, women’s wrestlers from across the world will gather for a pair of Pro-Wrestling EVE events, Women Behaving Badly and Wrestle Queendom 8. The latter will be the biggest iteration in EVE history, as it sold out weeks out. For Irish star Amira Blair, it’s also an opportunity to show fans what she calls a “true wrestling performance.”
At Wrestle Queendom 8, the “Pretty Psycho” will take on AEW Women’s Tag Team Champion Harley Cameron in a singles match. In the past, fans have praised both women for their prowess as entertainers in the ring. When it comes to Wrestle Queendom, though, Blair suggests that fans will see a more serious side of them.
“What’s going to happen with me and Harley Cameron is we’re going to put on a true wrestling performance,” Blair told WrestleZone’s Ella Jay in a new interview. “I’m going to do like seven Tiger Drivers, four moonsaults maybe, and I might do my 450-60-420 Blaze It Swanton Bomb. Swanton 450 bomb, yeah, maybe. I don’t know. It depends if the crowd deserve it and I don’t think they all deserve it, to be honest. So I’m not sure. I don’t think Hardy Cameron can do all the tricks and flips I can do, that’s for sure.”
Cameron’s fellow tag team champion, Willow Nightingale, will also be in action when she faces EVE Grand Slam Champion, Nina Samuels. As for the reigning EVE Champion Rhio, she will defend the title against Session Moth Martina. NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Syuri will put her title on the line against AEW’s Alex Windsor.
The full Wrestle Queendom lineup, which also includes Kris Statlander vs. Charlie (fka Dakota Kai), will unfold at the Indigo at the O2 in London on March 8.

Blake Monroe Seeks Vengeance On Jaida Parker
For weeks, Jaida Parker and Blake Monroe have traded physical and verbal shots on WWE NXT, with the former most recently calling the latter a “mediocre b*tch” before brawling once more. Evidently tired of the back-and-forth, however, Monroe asserted that the two would finally end their feud at NXT Vengeance Day, set for March 7.
“Congratulations, I guess you got what you wanted. You truly did bring the hell out of me. This ends at Vengeance Day in a Street Fight!” Blake shouted on Tuesday’s edition of NXT. The week prior, Parker cost Monroe a Women’s Speed Championship tournament win. Now, the two will battle one another in a Street Fight, where all weapons are legal.
Also at Vengeance Day, Izzi Dame will defend the NXT Women’s North American Championship against her former friend Tatum Paxley. Heading into the premium live event, Paxley and Dame each have one televised win against the other. Considering that Dame turned on her first, Paxley seems especially keen on gaining the upper hand.
Elsewhere, Lola Vice will take on Kelani Jordan in an NXT Underground match. Vice, of course, is undefeated in the stipulation, having bested Natalya, Shayna Baszler, and Jaida Parker in previous outings. With that in mind, Jordan has sought out additional training from Baszler.
