IYO SKY has her sights set on WrestleMania 42.
In 2025, IYO SKY successfully defended the WWE Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41. This year, she heads into WrestleMania 42 as a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Ripley.
When asked about her dream scenario for “The Show of Shows” in 2026, SKY pointed to a tag team title match.
“So, we have to defend this title… uh, not yet. We can say soon. Yeah, probably soon. We have to defend this title soon, which means before WrestleMania. So, if we can—[no], of course, we’re going to make it,” SKY told WrestleZone’s Bill Pritchard. “And if we do, I would love to have a championship [match] at WrestleMania — the Women’s Tag Titles.”
On this week’s edition of WWE Raw, SKY had the possibility of setting herself up for a singles title match at WrestleMania 42 when she faced Raquel Rodriguez and Kairi Sane in a Women’s Elimination Chamber qualifier. Unfortunately for SKY, Rodriguez seized the opportunity by pinning Sane. Still, the potential of two title matches on the grand stage wasn’t lost on SKY.
“This would be great,” SKY said. “One day, like Day One, will be for the Women’s Tag Titles. Day Two is a challenge for the Women’s Singles Title. So, it would be great.”
With Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan selecting WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer as her WrestleMania opponent, the Women’s Elimination Chamber victor will go on to face Women’s Champion Jade Cargill at the April 18 and 19 premium live event. Ripley, SKY’s tag team partner, is amongst this year’s Chamber field.
