TERMINUS 2 will take place tonight in Atlanta and on FITE TV, but how will the Terminus directives come into play on what will be a stacked card?
Co-promoter Baron Black spoke to Dominic DeAngelo of WrestleZone in advance of tonight’s event and was asked about the immense value of having a strict rule set to adhere to changes the identity of every match that’s presented.
“The ‘Terminus directives’ are a core part of Terminus,” Black said. “That’s what really makes Terminus unique, that’s what makes Terminus stand out, that’s what really makes Terminus tick and it also as you can see, it also changes the mindset and the gameplan of the actual wrestler/grappler going into the match cause they’re coming into a situation where it’s not very common that they have these set of rules that they have to combat within.”
A fighter who happened to suffer under the directives at the inaugural Terminus show on January 16 was Moose. The current IMPACT World Champion took on Mike Bennett in singles action, but suffered a disqualification loss after tossing Bennett two times over the top rope, a classic infraction that is adhered to under the promotion umbrella.
“As you can see with Moose it kind of backfired on him a little bit,” Black said. “So you’ll have situations like that. It also makes for very exciting matches cause it makes the viewer wonder who can display their strengths within this rule set.”
