One of the top stars in WWE is former SmackDown Tag Team Champion Chad Gable. He has been a part of multiple factions during his time in WWE such as American Alpha and the Alpha Academy. He also has changed his character on a few occasions. One of his gimmicks was during his singles run on the Blue Brand SmackDown. It was when his name was changed to Shorty G by the 2019 King of The Ring winner Baron Corbin.
While speaking to Peter Rosenberg on his Cheap Heat podcast, Chad Gable shared his thoughts on the Shorty G gimmick. The leader of the Alpha Academy mentioned that the time he was Shorty G was one of the lowest periods in his wrestling career.
“If you want to say the Shorty G period where I would consider that one of my low periods. That was a rough one to get through, it’s a rough one to kind of bridge the gap and say I can do this one too. I can make it through this one because sometimes it doesn’t seem like there’s light at the end of the tunnel … I have a wife and kids that can kind of level me out when those things happen and put things in perspective. I think that’s the whole key to it all is just perspective,” Chad Gable said. [H/T Wrestling Inc.]
