Kairi Sane is one of the most successful Japanese wrestlers of all time. She is currently wrestling in different wrestling promotions. It was recently announced that the Sky Pirate would be wrestling in her final match for the STARDOM promotion.
STARDOM is where Sane began her wrestling career. After spending almost six years under their banner, she made her WWE debut in 2017. She wrestled in and won the 2017 Mae Young Classic Tournament.
After her performance in the Mae Young Classic, she signed with the Stamford-based promotion. She made her NXT debut later in the same year. In less than a year, the Sky Pirate reached the top of the women’s division in the Black and Gold brand.
In 2019, Sane made her way to the main roster. She started to team up with Asuka and was managed by Saraya (fka Paige). They called themselves the Kabuki Warriors. The duo also captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships once.
In 2020, she became a victim of the budget cuts and as a result, was released from the promotion. Since then, the former NXT Women’s Champion signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling. In the Japanese promotion, she became the inaugural IWGP Women’s Champion.
Recently, the Sky Pirate will be performing in her final wrestling match for the STARDOM promotion. She showed up at the STARDOM Dream Tag event and revealed that she’ll be teaming up with Nanae Takahashi and IWGP Women’s Champion Mayu Iwatani to wrestle the team of Hazuki & Koguma (FWC), and Saya Iida. The match will be taking place on October 9th.
There have been reports that Kairi Sane is in talks with WWE for a potential return.
