Daniel Bryan sent out some love to former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes, who defeated Christopher Daniels to become the new ROH World Champion on Friday night. The Smackdown Live general manager also teased that he might “come after” the international independent star if he manages to retain the belt for the next 462 days.
Bryan, one of the true founding fathers of Ring of Honor and a former world champion in his own right, has been outspoken about his desire to return to the ring. Unfortunately for the leader of the “YES!” movement, WWE isn’t likely to ever let this happen after his sudden retirement in 2016, due to a history of more than 10 documented concussions.
While it’s unlikely we’ll ever see the four-time WWE world champion return to the wrestling ring, “never say never” as the old saying goes. At the very least we now know Bryan’s WWE contract officially expires in September 2018…
Side note, if you hold the @ringofhonor title 462 days I may have to come after you, which would be 9/28/18. Be forewarned! #FinalCountdown https://t.co/alSLGCeNcX
