Dean Ambrose vs. The Big Show
I found it surprising this was the first time that either man faced the other on Raw. Dean Ambrose gets taken down with a body slam and then he unties Show’s boot to get out of it. Ambrose is able to fire back with a sleeper and then a few punches to the head. Big Show hits a body slam and then sets up a chokeslam. Ambrose fights out of it with a great DDT. Left punches and slap combination, setting him up with a chokeslam. Ambrose kicks out at two and Big Show looks shocked.
Big Show looks for another chokeslam and drives Ambrose out of the ring. He makes the ten count and then gets a boot to the outside again and then gets Speared. He makes another ten count and the big man looks angry. Ambrose falls to the outside a third time, with Show looking to finish him off. Ambrose goes for a Suicide Dive, but gets a KO punch. He is counted out and Big Show picks up the win.
It was a good story to tell, with Ambrose giving a valiant effort. Almost making it up a third time was definitely worth the story. He fought hard and continued to fight until the very end. Dean Ambrose and Big Show put on a really good match. I just wonder why Bray Wyatt was not seen here. I would have loved to see the lights go out a third time and Ambrose back in the ring to get more punishment, thanks to a Wyatt family member.
Neville defeated Fandango
Headlock quickly turns fast and Neville gets clotheslined. Fandango hits a few chops and Fandango locks in a unique submission on his back. Neville counters with a jawbreaker and then a few kicks. He kicks him in the head and then flies to the outside. Neville hits the Red Arrow for the win.
Stardust appears on the screen and talks to Neville about saving the day, saying that everyone wants a story. Everyone wants a hero and nobody wants to talk about the unknown. Stardust says he will rescue the universe and he asks him to be his hero.
I am not sure if I dig the involvement with Steven Amell. I get the crossover, but is he really that big of a star in Hollywood? Maybe I am missing it, but Stardust vs. Neville in a match interests me more. I assume it is simply because I do not watch whatever show he is on. Stardust gives a little Dusty reference, always nice to hear.
