The Uso’s, Mark Henry and Show Pick Up The Win
Smackdown reaction kicks off with Mark Henry, Big Show and the Uso’s facing off against Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Goldust and Stardust. Luke Harper gets into the ring and hits a big boot to Mark Henry. After a commercial break, Jimmy gets bounced off the announce table and Stardust gets a two count. Goldust hits a clothesline and works on the knee of Jimmy. Luke Harper comes in and slows down the pace. Rowan wrenches his head and Jimmy hits a spinning heel kick to Erick Rowan. Jimmy hits a kick to Goldust and Show clotheslines Stardust and then another clothesline. Show hits a shoulder block and tries to double chokeslam the brothers. Gold and Stardust hit a double suplex and Henry gets taken to the outside by Harper and Rowan. Jimmy Uso takes out Rowan, Henry and Harper. Stardust hits a Disaster Kick, but Show hits a Knockout Punch and Jimmy finishes with a splash.
This was a fun match to get the night started. Every face got their big move in except for Mark Henry. The storyline of the injuries continue. Both Uso’s seem to be banged up and WWE continues to remind us. This tells me that a championship change could be in the works. I really enjoyed this match and did feel like Big Show and Mark Henry continue to get stronger and healthier in the ring. I like what I see from them. I wish Mark Henry would get another run at a championship because he is still really useful to the younger talent.
Bo Dallas defeated Justin Gabriel
Dallas slugs away at Gabriel until he unloads multiple kicks. Dallas reverses a hip toss and throws Gabriel to the corner. He punches at the back of his head and then another clothesline. Justin Gabriel gets a few moves in until Dallas hit Bo-Dog for the win.
Bo Dallas’ best part of the night was thanks to Zeb Colter. I still am not really buying into this feud. Bo Dallas needs to do much more than what he is. He just does not have enough aggression and dramatic pieces to his character. He needs to evolve a bit more before I can say I WANT to see him. Fun fact of the night: Justin Gabriel is a 3-time tag team champion. Who knew it was 3?
Paige defeated Summer Rae
Summer Rae uses her long legs to take down Paige. He locks in a submission hold and slaps her in the back. Paige battles out and hits multiple knees to Summer Rae’s stomach. Paige locks in her submission hold and picks up the win. AJ Lee gets in the ring and continues the mind games on Paige.
Paige gets upset about AJ Lee teasing her in the ring. I want to see Nikki Bella involved more right now since she is in the championship match a week from Sunday. We have seen multiple angles from Paige and AJ Lee over the past three months. Now is the time for WWE to really give us something fresh. We get the mind games from Paige and AJ Lee. That is all they are doing right now, a repeat over and over again. With another Diva like Nikki around, she can add another layer of depth to the development of the Divas Division.
