More On RAW Leaving TSN, Austin Update, Jericho’s Status; More

– To add on the story from yesterday regarding the future of WWE RAW on TSN, TSN President Phil King spoke with Slam! Wrestling about the possibility of the network dropping WWE RAW in favor of Monday Night Football in 2006. “It’s far too early to comment or determine the impact this will have on TSN’s broadcast schedule. It’s a year-and-a-half down the road – Monday Night Football on ESPN doesn’t begin until September 2006,” said King. “We’re evaluating all our options and will create the best schedule possible for our viewers.”

– To add on the announcement of Steve Austin working the 6/18 SmackDown brand House Show in Dublin, Ireland, Austin signed a deal to do special guest referee spots on the entire SmackDown tour of Europe in June that also includes dates in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Manchester as well.

– Regarding reports making the rounds on some other wrestling websites concerning what Chris Jericho will be doing once his contract with WWE expires later this year, he has all intentions at this point in re-signing with the company. Although he has stated that his character has become somewhat stale on more than one occassion and would like to see a change, he still wants to balance his wrestling career along with his sing careering with Fozzy.
