Former WWE Superstar Carmella shows off her bruises as she recovers from eye surgery.
Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella recently underwent upper and lower blepharoplasty, a surgery to fix droopy eyelids. She then took to her Instagram stories to provide an update on her recovery 72 hours after the procedure.
Carmella revealed that the bruising has started to turn yellow, which is a sign that she’s healing. She shared that while the discoloration would last a couple more days, she’s already starting to notice results and can see a lot better.
“Okay, we are 72 hours post-op. The bruising is starting to turn yellow, which is amazing. That means we’re healing. Still swelling, of course, but I mean, everything’s gone down so much. I’m already starting to see the results, and I’m obsessed. A couple more days of this discoloration, I’m sure, but we’re getting there,” Carmella said.
“Feeling great. I’m seeing a lot better today, so I’m really happy about that. Just trying to rest, and I’m not icing quite as much; it’s worse. Like I said, it’s been 72 hours, but the only reason I like to ice because it helps me keep my eyes shut all the way. And they’re still getting a little dry, but that’s what eye drops and all that are for. I’m obsessed,” Carmella said.
Carmella hasn’t competed in the ring since March 2023. During her hiatus from WWE, she had two children with commentator Corey Graves and left the promotion after her contract was not renewed when it expired in February 2025. She recently teased a return to in-ring action.
