An intense moment on the March 31 episode of WWE NXT took an unexpected turn when Keanu Carver’s match spilled beyond the ring and into the crowd.
What started as a heated contest quickly crossed a line — leaving officials scrambling to regain control.
Carver faced Jasper Troy with Josh Briggs serving as special guest referee. The match itself was physical from the outset, with both competitors using the environment to their advantage, including the steel steps and ringside area.
However, the focus soon shifted away from the in-ring action.
Keanu Carver confronts a fan during NXT Match as Josh Briggs Intervenes
Midway through the match, Keanu Carver approached a fan at ringside. The fan had been vocal, chanting at him, which appeared to draw Carver’s attention.
He got face-to-face with the fan and made physical contact, reaching over the barricade in a moment that blurred the line between performance and personal space for Wrestling fans, but in all likelihood might be a plant placed by WWE.
Josh Briggs quickly stepped in, pulling Carver away and issuing a warning. The referee’s intervention prevented the situation from escalating further, though the tension remained high.
Carver eventually returned to the ring, but the distraction added another layer to an already chaotic match.
Back inside, the bout continued with momentum swinging both ways. Jasper Troy capitalised on the confusion at one stage, even putting Carver through the announce desk with a chokeslam. Despite that, Carver regained control with some unintended help from Josh Briggs and secured the win with a running powerslam.
The aftermath didn’t settle things either. Carver demanded Briggs raise his hand, only to follow it up with a short-arm lariat — a final exclamation point that kept tempers boiling.
With Stand & Deliver approaching, Carver is not currently scheduled for a match at that event.
