AEW Star Is Now a Free Agent

An AEW talent’s status has officially changed as of April 1, with a contract quietly expiring at midnight. While the move had been expected internally, it opens the door for what could be a quick next chapter elsewhere.

According to Fightful Select, Lady Frost’s AEW deal reached its end on April 1, making her a free agent.

The report notes that this outcome had been planned for some time, rather than emerging as a sudden release — a case of the clock running out rather than the ice cracking overnight.

Update: Lady Frost not only confirmed she had left AEW, but she’s also signed a contract with another promotion just hours after becoming a free agent.

Fightful Select also reported that several companies have already expressed interest in signing Frost.

With her availability now official, it’s understood that her next move could come together quickly — proof that when one door closes, another possibility opens.

Frost’s run in AEW and ROH included appearances across Dark, Dynamite, and Collision. She challenged for the TBS Championship twice in 2023, facing Kris Statlander in June and Julia Hart in November. In ROH, she competed in high-profile eliminator matches, including bouts against Athena and Toni Storm.

Her final AEW appearance came on the January 10 episode of Collision, where she faced Mina Shirakawa.

She also competed on the Supercard of Honor Zero Hour pre-show in her last ROH outing. While wins were limited, her consistent presence kept her in the mix — even if the record didn’t always get the pin.

Outside AEW, Frost built a diverse resume, including stints in TNA Wrestling, CMLL, and the NWA. She also reached tournament finals in CMLL and competed internationally, showing range beyond a single promotion.

As of now, Frost has not publicly detailed her next destination. With interest already building, her free agency may not stay on ice for long.
