Marc Mero reveals how he found out Sable was cheating on him with Brock Lesnar.
Appearing on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, former WWE Superstar Marc Mero said Sable used to call home every night to say goodnight to their daughter, Mariah, while she was on the road, but the calls became less frequent over time.
“And, you know, Mariah wouldn’t get to talk to her mom, so she’d be a little upset, saying things like, ‘I didn’t get to talk to Mom today,’ you know,” he said,
At the time, as Mero recounted, he got frustrated and left a harsh voicemail, but later felt guilty and tried to delete it. “I remember I got really upset because I’d call her and it’d just go to voicemail.
“So I called up and left this really nasty message like, ‘You know, why don’t you — what is wrong with you? Your daughter’s upset, I’m upset.’ Then I felt really bad because I know what it’s like being on the road. We each had a combination to get into each other’s phones, so I could call back and delete my message.”
Marc Mero on discovering the man was Brock Lesnar
Mero further stated that when he checked Sable’s phone, he found messages from a man apologizing to her, which broke his heart. Upon confronting his wife, she simply told him she wanted a divorce and moved out. He later discovered the man was Brock Lesnar, though she hadn’t told him initially.
“It was later on. I mean, it was a while. She never would tell me who it was. You know, the amazing thing about forgiveness is — people say, ‘How do you forgive somebody?’ For me, it’s real easy. When they mention her name, I don’t get angry anymore.
“And I wish them the best. They’ve got great kids, and my life couldn’t be better. I think about all the paths I’ve taken since then, which led me right to where I am today — talking to Chris [laughs] — married to the most incredible woman, my life partner. I couldn’t be happier or more blessed to have Malissa in my life.”
