WATCH: WWE’s Danhausen Spoofs Stone Cold Steve Austin Backstage

WWE’s latest viral moment didn’t come from a match, but from a backstage segment tied to Austin 3:16 Day on March 16, 2026 — where Danhausen blurred the line between parody and pure mischief.

Following his recent rise after debuting at Elimination Chamber, Danhausen took center stage on RAW in a way only he can.

Instead of simply paying tribute to Stone Cold Steve Austin, he leaned all the way in — and convinced more than a few people along the way.

Danhausen channels “Stone Cold Steve Austin” in viral WWE backstage segment

In a clip posted on March 18, Danhausen revealed how he “tricked” WWE superstars into believing he was the real “Cold Steve Austin.”

Sporting a ball cap and leaning into the bit, he claimed he was “bald all the time,” delivering his own spin on Austin’s persona.

The act didn’t stop at appearances. Danhausen repeatedly dropped a twist on the iconic catchphrase, saying, “And that’s the bottom line because Cold Steve said so,” while also throwing in the familiar “What” chants during interactions.

It turned backstage into something of a verbal stunner — only this time, the punchline landed before the move.

This wasn’t a one-off gag either. In the lead-up to 3:16 Day, Danhausen had already accused RAW General Manager Adam Pearce of secretly being Steve Austin in disguise.

The running joke added another layer to the segment, giving fans a thread to follow rather than a single beat to react to.

The parody — dubbed by fans as “Stone Cold Stevehausen” — has quickly become one of the most talked-about elements of his early WWE run. It also fits neatly into his growing reputation as a character who can turn even the smallest moment into must-see content.

Looking ahead, Danhausen has continued to reference Austin, even pitching a potential hair versus hair match in recent interviews.

Whether that idea gains traction remains to be seen, but for now, Danhausen has clearly found a way to raise a little hell — without ever needing to hit a Stunner.
