WWE‘s Jey Uso running it back during his entrances might be getting complaints only from online fans and not from those in attendance.
Former World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso was a recent guest on Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About podcast. During the conversation, Rhodes put over how Uso has become very popular with fans over the years, especially with the yeet gimmick.
Rhodes then talked about how the fans go crazy when Jey Uso runs back his entrance. When he asked about the most amount of encores he’s ever run, Uso replied that he once ran it back around six times during a dark match. He explained how the match turned into a big yeet party.
“Probably six. In a dark match. I just kept (running it back), and they kept doing it with me. That was a whole dark match, Uce. It was like a big party.
Fans online have been complaining that Jey Uso running back his entrance has run its course. However, the reigning World Tag Team Champion’s statement proves that, as usual, the criticism comes only from the IWC and not from the live fans in attendance.
CM Punk defended Jey Uso from online criticism
Speaking on a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk defended Jey Uso from all the online criticism he’s been receiving.
“Jey Uso, in every arena, like, I’m battling with John Cena and Jey Uso as who sells more t-shirts on any given night,” CM Punk began. “Everybody is going crazy for his music. They’re yeeting, they want him to run it back. This dude can go on TV for ten minutes and just yeet.
“But then if you went on the internet, ‘Oh, he’s the worst wrestler alive.’ Is he, or are you just extremely hyperbolic? Everything nowadays, ‘This is the best thing ever. This is the worst thing ever. I don’t like this, so you have to not like it too.’ It’s really just like, ‘Like what you like. Champion that.’ I try to stay away from the negativity.
“Jey Uso is f*ckin phenomenal. He is 100%. We just live these lives that are so public that everybody wants to point fingers and laugh if we like slip on a banana peel or make a mistake,” CM Punk said.
