A new report has provided a major update on Bobby Lashley’s injury in AEW.
On AEW Collision: Winter Is Coming, a video package was aired to promote the upcoming Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royale. It will take place at the three-hour Holiday Bash special this Wednesday from Manchester, England.
Several stars addressed the match, including Mark Davis, Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, Ricochet and Brody King. During the video package, MVP revealed that Shelton Benjamin will represent The Hurt Syndicate in the battle royale. However, he also confirmed that Bobby Lashley is currently sidelined with an injury.
Following the announcement, fans questioned whether Lashley’s injury was part of a storyline or was it real. However, Fightful (via Fightful Select) have revealed that the injury is legitimate and Bobby Lashley is expected to miss a significant amount of time away from the ring.
Lashley was last in action at AEW Full Gear 2025, where he entered the Casino Gauntlet match to determine the first-ever AEW National Champion. Despite being a dominant force in the match, Ricochet won and became the inaugural champion.
Despite Lashley being sidelined, The Hurt Syndicate will still be in action as Shelton Benjamin is confirmed for the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royale, along with Mark Davis, Brody King, Anthony Bowens, Max Caster, and Ricochet.
