AEW star Brian Cage can’t seem to catch a break.
The former FTW Champion was last seen on AEW television in March, when he competed in a multi-man match on Collision. His injury forced Tony Khan to scrap plans for a major title match at Dynasty.
Brian Cage has already undergone two surgeries on his leg in 2025 alone. He had his quad tendon repaired earlier this year before getting his knee replaced in June. Unfortunately, The Machine has suffered another setback on his road to recovery.
Taking to Instagram, Cage revealed he is scheduled to undergo a third knee surgery next week after attempting to get cleared for AEW WrestleDream. He also stated that he does not know when he will be medically cleared to compete.
“There’s an implant in my knee that may not be attached,” Cage said in his video update. “It didn’t grow into the bone. They have to cut my knee open and plan for the worst while hoping for the best.” [H/T: Fightful]
Brian Cage recently took a shot at Don Callis, claiming Callis never wanted his faction to grow this large but allowed it because he thought it was funny. His comments prompted a fiery response from Callis on social media.
WrestleZone wishes Brian Cage all the best with his upcoming surgery.
