AEW Dynamite saw another decrease in viewership on August 20, with a taped show from Scotland heading into Forbidden Door.
According to Wrestlenomics, 565,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.16 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode, when 690,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also slightly dropped from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.17 rating in the same demographic.

This was a rare taped version of Dynamite, due to being in Scotland for the event. Viewership for Wednesday’s show on MAX is unknown at this time.
What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?
This week’s show kicked off with a promo from Will Ospreay. He was interrupted by Jon Moxley and the Death Riders, which led to the first match of the evening.
Hiroshi Tanahashi and JetSpeed defeated the Death Riders in trios action. Things got chaotic following the match, which saw Darby Allin dive off a balcony onto the Death Riders.
FTR and Brodido wrestled to a time limit draw in the finals of the AEW World Tag Team Eliminator Tournament. Both teams will face the Hurt Syndicate in a three-way at Forbidden Door.
In the main event of the evening, Mercedes Mone and Athena defeated Toni Storm and Alex Windsor in tag team action.
