New Japan Pro-Wrestling presented their NJPW Battle in the Valley event on January 11. The show was held at the San Jose Civic in San Jose, California.
Among other matches, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. faced Hechicero. Plus, Konosuke Takeshita defended the NEVER Openweight Championship against KUSHIDA, and Gabe Kidd defended the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship against Tomohiro Ishii.
