Tony Khan made a generous donation to charity, and found a new home for his neck brace.
Khan appeared on The Rich Eisen Show on Wednesday and the pair discussed Khan’s recent on-air appearances on AEW TV and the NFL Draft. Eisen mentioned that when he saw Khan wearing the neck brace on television, he hoped to acquire it and auction it off for charity. Khan indicated he was interested in doing so, and Khan brought it to the show with him.
“I’ll tell you what, Rich. I’m gonna sign it and I’m going to be the one to buy the auction and I’m going to keep it at the show. And I will buy it for $100,000 to St. Jude, and for you and the show,” Khan proclaimed. “Let’s keep the neck brace here. Is that OK?
“Yes. Beyond [OK]. And it is beyond, beyond,” Eisen replied. “Your generosity is overwhelming. I thank you. My God.”
“Well, it is on behalf of AEW. And for AEW and The Rich Eisen Show, I will gladly put $100,000 into St. Jude’s and RunRichRun. I think Rich, what you do, with St. Jude and Run Rich Run, is one of the best things anybody in football does and I respect the heck out of it,” Khan continued. “That’s why on behalf of AEW, I’d like to sign this neck brace and keep it here with all of your great memorabilia, and I’ll donate $100,000.”
Khan signed the neck brace on the spot made a Bret Hart reference by writing “AEW” with his finger in the air.
