NJPW star Minoru Suzuki wants to face Chris Jericho.
Suzuki is one of the most renowned competitors in NJPW, and he has made a name for himself in the United States as well. He won the ROH World Television Championship in 2022, and he later wrestled at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door; there, he joined forces with Sammy Guevara and former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho to defeat Shota Umino, Eddie Kingston, and Wheeler Yuta.
Speaking with Wrestling with Honor, Suzuki was asked about potential opponents he wants to face, and he named Jericho
“I think there are still many more,” Suzuki said. “But I hope that in the near future I can fight Chris Jericho.”
Suzuki was also asked whether his goal is to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, and he made it clear that he’s aiming for the gold.
“Of course, I’m still aiming for the IWGP [title],” Suzuki said. “This is one of the reasons why I continue to fight in New Japan Pro-Wrestling.”
