AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming Results (12/14): World Title Match And More

AEW will deliver the special “Winter is Coming” episode of AEW Dynamite on December 14.

MJF will defend the AEW World Championship against Ricky Starks. Plus, Death Triangle will face The Elite, House of Black will compete, and Chris Jericho will be in action. Elsewhere on the show, Tay Melo will face Ruby Soho.

The results are as follows:

Best of Seven Series – Match 4: The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) vs. Death Triangle (PAC, Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo) (with Alex Abrahantes)

Nick Jackson and Penta start the bout and feel each other out. Fenix tags in, but The Elite takes control early on. PAC gets triple-teamed. The Jackson brothers dive onto their opponents on the outside. Nick Jackson seemingly hurts his ankle, forcing Omega and Matt to pick up the slack. The doctor checks on Nick at ringside. Penta hts Matt from behind, and Death Triangle gang up on him. The champions gain the upper hand as Fenix dives onto Omega. Death Triangle continues to isolate Matt. He rallies, but PAC stops him from making the taking. Matt perseveres and tags Omega, who clears house with a flurry of offense. Penta breaks up a V-trigger attempt. PAC trips Omega and drills him with a kick. PAC counters a suplex, but Omega fires back with a brainbuster. Penta drops Matt with a package piledriver on the apron.

Omega is left on his own, and the Lucha Brothers double-team him. Omega dodges the Black Arrow, and Nick limps back to the ring. He tags in and takes the fight to the champions. Nick catches Fenix with a cutter. Penta hits Nick’s wounded ankle with the ring bell gammer. Fenix wrenches the ankle and forces Nick to tap out.

WinnersDeath Triangle (PAC, Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo) (with Alex Abrahantes)

After the bell, Omega gets a microphone and says a 3-1 deficit is bad. He tells Death Triangle that they should make the hammer legal in the next match. Omega says they should make all weapons legal.

AEW World Champion MJF is asked about the main event. He discusses Ricky Stark’s memorable promo last week. MJF says he has been hitting home runs from the start. He says he made Starks a star, and he says pressure will be applied to “The Pebble” tonight.

The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) come down the ramp, but they get attacked by Satnam Singh, Jeff Jarrett, and Sonjay Dutt. Jarrett blasts Caster with a guitar shot. He then tells Caster, “Scissor this, slapnut.”

Backstage, Chris Jericho vows to win tonight, and he makes it clear that he wants a rematch for the ROH World Championship. Jericho says Daniel Garcia never should have lost the ROH Pure Championship. He calls Ricky Starks a flash in the pan and tells Garcia to shadow his “elder” Sammy Guevara, who challenges Jon Moxley to a match on AEW Rampage.

“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry vs. Brian Cage (with Prince Nana)

Cage overpowers Perry early on. Jungle Boy uses his quickness to counter Cage’s strength. “The Machine” kicks Perry and suplexes him. cage continues to use his power to ground Perry. Jungle Boy rallies with a DDT. Cage drops Perry with a suplex and slams him with a Full Nelson Driver. The former FTW Champion levels Perry with a clothesline. Perry hits a Canadian Destroyer. He makes Cage tap out to the Snare Trap, but Nana distracts the referee. Cage goes for a clothesline, but Perry ducks, so the powerhouse hits Nana. Perry then rolls Cage up for the win.

Winner“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry

After the match, Perry challenges Big Bill to come to the ring. Stokely Hathaway answers instead, and Jungle Boy confronted him. Lee Moriarty and Big Bill attack Perry and overwhelm him, but HOOK makes the save.

Jon Moxley discusses Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta’s wins at ROH Final Battle and his own victory on AEW Rampage. Castagnoli says the Blackpool Combat Club will make a statement in 2023. Moxley previews his match against Sammy Guevara and vows to stomp him into oblivion. He again says Hangman Page knows where to find him, and he encouraged Hangman to bring his Dark Order buddies with him.

In a promo, Swerve Strickland discusses walking away from Keith Lee and says he has no friends.

House of Black (Brody King, Buddy Matthews & Malakai Black) (with Julia Hart) vs. The Factory  (with Lee Johnson)

Hart spits mist into Comoroto’s face. Black looks on as King and Matthews take the fight to Solow and Karter. QT Marshall is left alone in the ring, and Black floors him with a Black Mass for the win.

A video package hypes up the AEW Women’s World Championship Match between Jamie Hayter and Hikaru Shida next week.

Skye Blue interrupts Britt Baker’s interview and challenges her to a match.

Chris Jericho vs. Action Andretti

Jericho controls the action early on. He dominates the match, but Andretti gets some momentum with a headscissors takedown. Jericho gets a two count with a Codebreaker. “The Ocho” takes the fight out of the ring and slams Andretti into the steel steps. Andretti continues to hang in there, and he drops Jericho with a neckbreaker. He dodges the Judas Effect and gets a two count on a pin attempt. Jericho catches a diving Andretti and goes for the Walls of Jericho, but Andretti reverses. He drops Jericho on his head and hits a running Shooting Star Press for the upset win.

Winner: Action Andretti

In an interview, Ricky Starks discusses his title match against MJF. He says a lot of people are looking up to him.

FTR discussed their loss to The Briscoes at ROH Final Battle and brought up the way The Gunns attacked them. Cash Wheeler says The Gunns got their attention. Harwood says they’ll go through The Gunns to keep building their legacy.
